CLUBS & ACTIVITIES**

  • BAND –  Band is designed to give students the opportunity to improve their proficiency in sight-reading, musical technique, and performance. The fall term is devoted mainly to marching band, including field performances and contests. The emphasis for the spring term is concert band. The PFHS Band is under the direction of Nick Lloyd.
  • BETA CLUB -  The National Beta Club is an organization whose purpose is to stimulate effort, reward achievement, and encourage members to continue their education after high school. Achievement, character, and leadership are the words on our national emblem. Sponsored by John Lewis, Teresa Loveday, and Amy Williams.
  • CHORUS / DRAMA -  These activities are designed to give students the opportunity to improve and develop vocal music and acting skills. The emphasis of the course is on performance. Participation in school and public choral concerts and musical dramas are an integral part of the group. Elements of stage production are also included. Sponsored by Pam Russell.
  • DECA - DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high school and colleges around the globe. Sponsored by Jil Maples.
  • Environmental Club – The environmental club serves to help educate students on sustainability, resourcefulness, and how to both help and use the environment for our advantage. Sponsored by Ryan Hintz.
  • FCA - The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an active Christian community service organization. FCA seeks to bring together students with an interest in two main ideas: their faith in God and interest in athletics. The club meets bi-weekly for Bible Studies. Please note that FCA is not a school-sponsored organization. 
  • FFA - The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing the premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Sponsored by Robbie Satterfield. 
  • INTERACT CLUB - The PFHS Interact Club brings together young people to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self in conjunction with our local Rotary Clubs. Sponsored by Pam Russell.
  • LEO CLUB – Leo is a service based program that introduces students to the Lion's Club. The club focuses on helping the community with monthly service projects, especially donating glasses. Sponsored by Veronica Taylor.
  • KEY CLUB – Key Club is an international, student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership. PFHS Key Club is a service-based club whose members participate in a variety of charitable events and volunteer work in the community. Sponsored by Emily Oakley.
  • MU ALPHA THETA - The mission of Mu Alpha Theta is to promote the scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of, mathematics. It is restricted to students who have completed and excelled in honors math classes. We provide opportunities for students to participate in competitions and to provide tutoring to their fellow students. Sponsored by Kara Breeden & Teresa Loveday.
  • NATIONAL FRENCH HONOR SOCIETY – The Societé Honoraire de Français at Pigeon Forge High School is an honors society for students who exhibit excellence in French as well as in their overall academic and extracurricular pursuits. The goal of the SHF is to enhance students' engagement with and understanding of the French language and culture, as well as to serve our school and local community. Sponsored by Jenna Stokes.
  • NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY - The objective of NHS shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage character development in pupils of PFHS. This club is selected by a panel of teachers who review student applications.  Sponsored by Lydia Huskey.
  • SCHOLARS’ BOWL- Scholars’ Bowl is an academic team, open to all students. The team practices once a week and competes in regional academic tournaments, as well as the annually televised Channel 2 competition in Knoxville. Sponsored by Emily Oakley. 
  • RHO KAPPA – Rho Kappa, National Social Studies Honor Society, is the only national organization for high school juniors and seniors that recognizes excellence in the field of Social Studies. Students accepted into this honor society craft their service projects and events around the various subjects within the field such as: history, geography, government, psychology, sociology, and economics. Sponsored by Dusty Helton.
  • SKILLS USA – PFHS SkillsUSA, in partnership with business, industry and the community, provides opportunities for members to develop individually and improve teamwork, leadership and professional skills through education, training, and service.  Sponsored by Naomi Rinck & Mitchell Breeden.
  • STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION - Elected members of the Student Government Association do more than just represent the student body to faculty and administration. SGA is responsible for shaping much of the student experience at PFHS.  Sponsored by Kara Breeden & Teresa Loveday.
